As a proud partner in ScottishPower’s FITNESS program we were delighted to win the Sustainable Energy Award at the recent 2017 Scottish Renewables Green Energy Awards ceremony. FITNESS refers to Future Intelligent Transmission Network SubStation and is the UKs first digitalized transmission substation project, critically using fibre optic cables (with our sensor systems of course!) to reduce operational costs and eliminating significant amounts of copper traditionally used in substations.
